if someone takes time to write you, follow up with you and politely ask for your time…take 25 seconds to acknowledge them as a fellow human being by simply hitting “Reply”.
it takes less time than you think and it matters a whole lot more than you think.
you don’t have to give them your time – but don’t ignore your emails.
when you ignore emails, you ignore human beings.
do you like being ignored?
and don’t tell me you don’t have 25 seconds to reply.
i’ve received “Reply’s” from people at the top of their field who are probably busier than you.
they’ve developed a habit of promptly dealing with every email in the Inbox, even if it’s a:
“thanks for your note. unfortunately, I don’t have any time to spare right now but try me next month. take care”
